- Why are you here? = What are you here for?
- Why should I do that? = What should I do that for?
How come...?
This is used mainly to show surprise. When using "how come,"
do not use inversion (question word order) or do, does, or did.
- Why do you hate tomatoes? = How come you hate tomatoes?
- Why did you see that movie? = How come you saw that movie?
- Why are you sick again? = How come you're sick again?
